Most people want to blame fats for obesity. However, it depends on the type of fat that you consume. The worst type of fat that you can consume is known as the trans-fat. This fat is formed through the hydrogenation process. It is by product of the process. Hydrogenation is process used to change healthy oils into solids. If you want to stay healthy, you have to avoid trans-fat at all cost. Most fats containing the trans-fats are labeled as partially hydrogenated oil.

The more the amount of LDL cholesterol in your body, the less the amount of good cholesterol (HDL). The trans-fats also leads to an increase in inflammation in the body. This is what leads to heart diseases, diabetes, stroke and other life threatening conditions. This makes your body resistant to insulin leading to the development of type 2 diabetes. Research has shown that trans-fats can harm you even when they are in small amounts. You have no choice but avoid trans-fats to keep yourself healthy.
