They are different from the bad fats because they contain fewer hydrogen atoms in their carbon chains. Healthy fats stay in liquid form at room temperature. They are never solid at room temperature. There are two types of good fats. These are;
Monounsaturated fats are those that have one carbon to carbon double-bond. This makes them have fewer hydrogen atoms. This structure helps to keep monounsaturated fat liquid at room temperature. There are many good sources of monounsaturated fat. They include olive oil, avocados, canola oil and sunflower oil. Experts insist that you should consume as much monounsaturated fats as possible to eliminate the bad fats from your body.
Corn oil, safflower oil and sunflower oil are good examples of polyunsaturated fats. This type of fat is essential to the body. They are required by the body for several important body functions. They are made by the cells, nerves and muscles. They also help to prevent inflammation and aid in blood clotting.
